Environmental Sensors

Environmental Sensors can ensure your safety in the home by smoke or carbon monoxide detection.
Personal Care Sensors
Personal Care Sensors such as property exit sensors can help if you have dementia and may have wandered out of your home.
Epilepsy sensors that can alert us if you are having a seizure.
Fall detectors or bed / chair occupancy sensors can alert us if you’ve fallen.
These sensors connect wirelessly to the base unit and will alert the call operators when recognising that help is required.
Several of these sensors can be connected to the base unit at any one time to provide a tailored package that can fully support your individual need.
How much does it cost?
Telecare gives peace of mind from as little as 50p per day.
The Telecare Equipment is supplied from your local authority. The charges vary according to each local authority area and payments can be made monthly to the local authority by direct debit. VAT exemption
If you are chronically sick or disabled you do not have to pay VAT for this service. You will need to complete a short VAT relief form available from your local Telecare team. For further information on VAT Exemption please visit the HMRC website.
How do I access the service?
To request a Telecare installation simply complete the Telecare self-referral form, and we will connect you to the Telecare team for your area. Alternatively you can call Galw Gofal on 0300 123 66 88 day or night.
